Power Requirements
Table A-2 lists the power requirements for the rack.
Power Distribution Units
The rack has two PDUs (power distribution units). Each PDU has its own power cords
(reference Figure A-1 on page 84). Due to limited space inside the rack, it may be easier
to connect and route power cords before installing the support rails and enclosures.
To ensure redundancy, connect the PDUs in the rack to independent power circuits.
Connect one power cord from each enclosure to each PDU in the rack.
Power Cords and Receptacles
The rack is shipped with three types of power cords:
• Enclosure power cords: Connect from each component to the PDU.
• Domestic (North America) power cords: Connect from the PDU to an independent
30-A circuit breaker.
• International power cords: Connect from the PDU to an independent 32-A circuit
breaker.
The rack has two identical AC power distribution boxes, each with separate power cords.
Depending on the configuration ordered, each box supports either North American
